One of the greatest things in life is to become good friends with an artist, especially if they are incredibly talented. Not only you will see the artistry happening behind everything they do, but eventually you'll get yourself in a position where once every few times (or a lot of times if you're lucky), you'll be gifted with a little bit of what they do (or you can even become their muse ); a doodle, an illustration, a piece of music, no matter what it is, it'll brighten up your whole day, month, even life, I'd say. This jacket is a gift my dear friend Luis Bolívar a.k.a luisl4nd made for me quite a few months ago. I had my good ol' leather jacket but I wanted something more exciting on it so he made a beautiful bed of flowers in the back, all by hand, barely sketching anything, it took him like 2 or 3 hours and just one gold marker. He's flipping amazing. I hope someday you get yourself an artist friend, they remind you that in life, you have to appreciate the little details more often in order to get a better bigger picture.

Una de las mejores cosas que pueden pasar en la vida es volverse buen amigo de un artista, especialmente si es increíblemente talentos@. No sólo tendrás la oportunidad de ver la maestría detrás de todo lo que hacen, pero eventualmente te encontrarás en una posición en la que, cada cierto tiempo (o todo el tiempo, si eres suertud@), te verás agasajado con una pequeña muestra de su arte (o incluso podrías convertirte en su musa); un doodle, una ilustración, una pieza de música, no importa lo que sea, te iluminará el día, el mes o la vida entera, incluso. Esta chaqueta es un regalo que mi amigo Luis Bolívar a.k.a luisl4nd hizo para mi hace ya algunos meses. Tenía mi vieja chaqueta de cuero, pero quería agregarle algo más emocionante, así que Luis dibujó una cama de flores en su espalda, todo a mano, con muy poco bosquejo, le tomó unas 2 o 3 horas y sólo un marcador dorado; es increíble. Espero que algún día tengas la oportunidad de conseguir un buen amigo artista, te hacen recordar que en la vida, tenemos que apreciar los pequeños detalles más constantemente para así tener una mejor visión general de las cosas.
